It Came from Outer Space (Universal International, 1953). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") 3-D Style, Joseph Smith Artwork.
Initially shown in 3-D with diorama-style depth, this fun alien visitation film is based on a story by Ray Bradbury and is one of few progressive 1950s sci-fi flicks with a benign view considering its debut during an era of Cold War sensibilities. This film features Richard Carlson, Barbara Rush, and Charles Drake with direction by Jack Arnold, who later went on to direct This Island Earth, Tarantula, and two of the Creature from the Black Lagoon pictures. Before linen backing, the poster had fold wear, creases, small tears, pinholes, fold separation, and minor ink bleedthrough. Touch-ups have been applied to the folds, creases, tears, and the majority of the pinholes.
