As the first, and arguably the best, Disney full-length animated feature, this classic holds a special place in cinema history. As the Academy awards had no category for feature-length animated pictures, the film won an honorary Oscar for Walt Disney, who was presented with one full-sized statue and seven smaller versions for each of the dwarfs. Beloved for generations now, paper from this title is always highly desirable, and this lot includes the sought-after "Witch" card. Benefitting from restoration, these cards have had touchup applied to pinholes into the interior and very minor tears. The "Witch" card had a few paper lifts at the top, one of which is unaddressed, and both the "Witch" and the "Funeral" card have slight surface rippling at the top. The borders of the cards have been mostly airbrushed and the versos have also been airbrushed.
