Four Walls (MGM, 1928). Fine/Very Fine on Paper. Insert (14" X 36").
Based on the Broadway play of the same name by George Abbott, director William Nigh's Four Walls stars Joan Crawford in a time when her star was on the rise in Hollywood. The film also stars John Gilbert and Carmel Myers, who, along with Crawford, form a dangerous love triangle in this silent drama. Offered here for the first time at Heritage is a rare insert for the film featuring a wonderful image of Crawford and Gilbert together. Prior to restoration the poster displayed chips, pinholes, edge and fold wear, and small tears mostly in the borders. There is a bit of replaced paper in the top border, and the borders have been airbrushed. The poster displays beautifully after professional restoration.
