More than four decades later, Stanley Kubrick's version of the Anthony Burgess novel is still an unsettling piece of filmmaking. A vision of the violent society of the future and the misfits that inhabit it, most predominantly Malcolm McDowell and his Droogs, the film was very much ahead of its time upon its release in the early seventies. Shown for 61 weeks before being considered too disturbing for UK audiences, this picture was banned from future screenings in Britain until after Kubrick's death in 1999. Offered in this lot is the country-of-origin poster with the "X" rating and artwork by Philip Castle. Slight edge and fold wear, pinpoint crossfold separations, faint smudging at the top, and some minor stains in the background. Folded, Very Fine-.
