An epic tale of the conflict between Rome and Christianity, Ben-Hur was certainly one of the highest grossing films of the silent era and at a cost of $4 million, it was easily the most expensive silent film ever made. Directed by Fred Niblo and starring Ramon Novarro, Carmel Myers, May McAvoy, Betty Bronson, and Francis X. Bushman. This gorgeous German poster with dramatic artwork of Ramon Novarro leading the chariot race is a first time offer from Heritage and is extremely rare. Prior to restoration, the poster had fold wear with some chipping in the center horizontal fold. There are a few small tears in the folds. There is a German censor stamp on the top right dated 1925.
