Ready for Love (Paramount, 1934). Very Fine-. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Based on the novel, The Whipping by Roy Flanagan, this romantic comedy stars Ida Lupino (Marigold Tate) as a school runaway who flees to her aunt's home and is confronted with bigotry from the small town's residents. Richard Arlen plays a newspaper editor whom Lupino falls in love. Original paper from this film is exceedingly rare, and this lobby card featuring a dramatically lit portrait of a frightened Lupino, tied in a chair, has been offered by Heritage only once before.
