The Streets of New York (Pilot, 1913). Very Fine- on Linen. Six Sheet (82.5" X 72").
This realistic three part, multiple reel melodrama full of action, heart, and thrills was adapted from Dion Boucicault's stage play The Poor of New York. Set during the financial panics of the mid-19th century, the picture was produced by Pilot Film and takes place during the Wall Street panic of 1907. This captivating stone litho six sheet showcases a colorful and climactic scene from the picture with early New York buildings encircled by steam fire engines and heroic firemen attempting to save the day. The poster has benefited from restoration to border tears and chipping within the folds and poster seams, surface paper lifts in the upper left interior, interior chips, stains, and some lower corner and border wear.
