Description
Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). One Sheet (27" X 41").One of the most beloved sci-fi classics of all time, Forbidden Planet features wonderful performances by Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen. Based on Shakespeare's The Tempest, this 1950s science fiction gem is highly regarded for its outstanding special effects, groundbreaking electronic soundtrack, and its first-rate cast and production values. Perhaps most notably, the film introduced cinema enthusiasts to Robby the Robot, arguably the most famous automaton ever to appear on the silver screen. Robby is prominently featured on this very desirable one sheet, which is in exceptional condition. Signs of light handling include several pinholes in the background corners and several in the borders, a tiny stain in the left border, and pinpoint crossfold separation. Science fiction fans will be buzzing about this dynamite piece! Very Fine+.
