Description

A Day At The Races (MGM, 1937). Pre-War Belgian (23" X 31").
This hilarious romp is the second film that the Marx Brothers made for MGM after leaving Paramount following a contract dispute. It is also the last film that they made with Irving Thalberg as producer. Zany Groucho Marx is Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush, a veterinarian in charge of a sanitarium who, along with Chico and Harpo, attempt to save the place from developers by winning a horse race, with wild consequences. This sensational Pre-War Belgian poster has a small trim to the top imprint area, and has been mounted on linen, but has no other issues distracting from the striking stone litho artwork created by Constantin Alajalov. Very Fine on Linen.
