Doughboys (MGM, 1930). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style B.
Buster Keaton's fun MGM talkie where he's a rich boy signing up for Army duty by mistake, in a very scarce style B half sheet. The poster features the gentler side of Keaton with closed eyes, lovingly embracing a dewy-eyed Sally Eilers (fresh from her honeymoon with Hoot Gibson!). This film had one of Keaton's best routines, a stage show intervention in drag, with army boots! There's also a great scene of "scat singing" with Cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards. The poster has been washed and restored but not backed. There were tack holes in the image, edge wear, surface abrasions, tears in the image in the right center, and minor chips in the bottom edge. Very Good/Fine.
