Description

Our Hospitality (Metro, 1923). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This was Buster Keaton's true third starring feature (Saphead doesn't count), and it was a huge box office hit. It proved the genius of Keaton at being able to marry slapstick gag comedy and larger narrative into a complete film. This fun scene has Keaton with then real-life wife, Natalie Talmadge, being introduced to her family, including three brothers who want to kill Keaton on the spot (hence the mean looks!). There are dust shadows in the border, toning, a few surface scratches, pinholes in the borders with a staple hole in the lower center, and a top left corner crease. Fine-.
