The Great Ziegfeld (MGM, 1936). Lobby Displays (2) (34.5" X 44.5").
Here are two very rare original lobby displays backed on hardboard for the MGM classic musical The Great Ziegfeld. They both feature great images of Myrna Loy, William Powell and Luise Rainer. Powell plays the famed impresario Florence Ziegfeld, Loy plays Billie Burke and Rainer plays the famed international actress Anna Held, who became Ziegfeld's first wife. Rainer won her first Academy Award for her role in the film. One displays vertically and one horizontally. Both have spotting in the image area and minor wear. The vertical display has a scratch in Powell's face and edge wear on the right border. They are both in vintage frames which have age and wear to them. Fine+.
