The Locket (RKO, 1946). Italian 2 - Foglio (39" X 55").
With art by Cirriello, this haunting Italian poster captures the mood and atmosphere of this unusual film noir. The story recounts the history of a woman about to be married; a woman who may not be telling her fiance about her sordid past as a kleptomaniac and murderer. The film made extensive use of the "flashback within another flashback"-- a standard film noir motif. Typical for Italian posters, the artwork beautifully captures Laraine Day as the ultimate femme fatale. There was color touch-up to pinholes in the borders and the fold lines, with a bit more at the center-point in Day's lips. There was a hole and tear in her cheek and another in the bottom left side of the image area. Fine on Linen.
