Some Like It Hot (United Artists, 1959). Poster (30" X 40") Style Y.
Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis play a couple of jazz musicians who witness a mob hit. Fearing for their lives, they decide to go on the run-- disguised as a couple of girls who join an all girl band. Things get a bit complicated when they both fall for the band's lead singer, Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe). It was brilliant comedy from director Billy Wilder and remains one of the best films of Monroe's career. The posters have always been popular but this one is as scarce as it gets. This is the original Style Y, 30" X 40" which according to the book "The World's Rarest Movie Posters" has never turned up! Heritage is proud to offer this poster on the market for the very first time. And although it was never folded, it did have some minor wrinkles and crimps (mainly on the edges) but most of this has been corrected with professional restoration. There has also been a bit of airbrushing to the borders. Very Fine on Paper.
