In Noël Coward's final film role, he portrays the eccentric Mr. Bridger, a crime boss whom Michael Caine's Charlie Croker turns to for assistance in The Italian Job. This audacious heist entails hijacking Chinese gold bullion in Italy, all while evading the vigilant eyes of both the Italian police and the Mafia. To aid Croker, Bridger assembles a quirky ensemble of Britain's most notorious criminals-bank robbers, computer hackers, getaway drivers, and even Benny Hill. At the time he accepted the role, Coward was in the midst of a remarkable transformation, a journey that would culminate a year later, in 1970, with his knighthood. Unrestored on paper, this third time offer from Heritage displays a few flaws including subtle edge and fold wear, light image ghosting, and some stains/staining including a couple small areas of tape stain. Additionally, there is a minor amount of faint foxing along parts of the paper borders.
