Bambi "Forest Secrets Told by Thumper to Bambi"(Walt Disney/New York Graphics Society, 1947). Rolled, Very Fine-. Print (23.75" X 27") Animation.
The New York Graphic Society opened in 1804 and has the distinction of being the first museum in New York City. They signed a license with the Walt Disney Company in 1946 to produce and sell a series of four lithograph prints for their fundraising efforts. They produced two Snow White pieces and two Bambi pieces. They sold these in portfolio editions of four, and also as individual prints, available in three different sizes. Each litho produced has a bottom border notice that read "Copyright New York Graphic Society. Fine Art Publishers. An unrestored print with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as edge wear, dust shadows, small tears, creasing, and unobtrusive smudging.
