Nicholas Ray Lot (1977). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Nicholas Ray Signed Letter of Recommendation (8.5" X 11"). Drama.
Nicholas Ray, a visionary American director, masterfully blended visual expression with themes of rebellion, most famously in Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Johnny Guitar (1954), leaving an indelible mark on film history. Presented in this lot is a typed letter from Ray himself dated July 19, 1977, advocating for the employment of a Mr. French who put together a retrospective of the director at the University of Bridgeport. May include light edge and fold wear, minor creases, a few scuffs, slight staining along the borders, and mild toning. Of extra special note is Nicholas Ray's signature in the lower right area of the letter. Heritage Auctions believes that the autographed item in this lot is authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided.
