Featured are 8 prints of a 30 piece set of illuminated styled recipes that blend art and culinary majesty by Berkeley artist David Lance Goins in collaboration with Alice Waters, owner of the Cafe Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA, which was immortalized in the song "Alice's Restaurant," by Arlo Guthrie. In 1968 Goines established St. Hieronymus Press, where he uses printing technologies that span more than 100 years, including a letterpress where every design is etched onto a linoleum block about the size of a sheet of notebook paper. Although an incomplete set, this lot remains quite lovely from the quality paper, to the careful calligraphy, to every hand etched linoleum wood block. Unrestored items with bright color and clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and handling wear, light creases, or very minor tears.
