Masters and Masterpieces of the Screen by C.W. Taylor (P.F. Collier & Son Co., 1927). Fine. First Edition Hardcover Book (112 Pages, 16.5" X 12"). Miscellaneous.
Featuring a first edition hardcover book that is heavily illustrated with sepia-toned photographs of movie stars from the earliest days of films until the mid-1920s. There is an introduction from Will H. Hays, who was the President of Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, at that time. According to the blurb on the title page the volume is "a comprehensive survey of the Motion Pictures, from the early development to the present. The dramatic, artistic and educational phases; the outstanding successes and leading personalities." As an added bonus, the book contains a glossary of moving-picture terms at the end of the volume. An unrestored hardcover book with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge and spine wear, corner bends and bumps, tears, corner chips, surface scuffing, and toning. The spine is in great condition and holds the book together extremely well.
