Description

Two Arabian Knights (United Artists, 1927). Title Lobby Card and Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Howard Hughes produced this film about two WWI soldiers (William Boyd, Louis Wolheim) captured by Germans. They escape by disguising themselves as Arabs, and mistaken identity sends them on a whirlwind set of adventures (including at one point being pursued by Boris Karloff) involving an Arabian princess. The film was a huge box-office hit, and won Lewis Milestone the only Academy Award ever given for "Best Comedy Direction." The lobby card has a pinhole in the left border, with only the lightest line of tanning on the top and right edges. This tanning, most likely occurring during storage, pervades the borders of the title card, its only blemish. Very Fine/Near Mint.
