Description

Breaking Through (Vitagraph, 1921). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (28" X 41.25") Episode 5.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the untamed Wild West, the storyline of Breaking Through demonstrates resilience, grit, and challenging the odds. The intense narrative centers around a dire struggle to construct a single track from a secluded mine located in the frigid expanse of Alaska to the welcoming coast. If the track construction is not completed on time, the heroine stands the drastic risk of losing her established claim to the property. Starring Carmel Myers, Wallace MacDonald, Vincente Howard, Walter Rodgers, and George Stanley. Directed by Robert Ensminger. A restored poster that displays signs of use. Prior to restoration, the poster showed edge and fold wear, minute chips, noticeable chipping to the upper and middle horizontal folds, tears, and a noticeable crease that reached through the poster, which has been addressed with touchup throughout. Additionally, parts of the borders have been airbrushed and touchup has also been applied to the title and credit areas. Some flaws may still be lightly visible. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades. From the Dwight Manley Collection.
