Description

The Man from Monterey (Warner Brothers - First National, 1933). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This was one of the last of six "B" Westerns John Wayne would make for Warner Brothers. He stars, alongside his horse "Duke," as a U.S. Army captain who is sent to warn ranchers to register their land before a new group of settlers heads into the territory. He comes up against land swindler Donald Reed who has plans to steal the acreage himself. Ruth Hall stars as Wayne's love interest. Lobby cards for the original release of this film don't come up for auction often, especially in excellent condition like this one. It shows only one pinhole in the upper border, a small crease in the lower border, and small corner bumps. Very Fine.
