Alice Adams (RKO, 1935). Very Fine-. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
In a role that star Katharine Hepburn frequently cited as one of her very favorites, she plays Alice Adams, a young social climber who falls in love with a man of means, a man way out of her league (Fred MacMurray). Although Hepburn lost out on the Best Actress Oscar for this performance, Bette Davis, the winner in 1935 for Dangerous, commented on numerous occasions that Hepburn really deserved the honor. Paper on this George Stevens-directed film is very scarce, this being the first lobby card Heritage has ever offered for the film. In very presentable condition, it shows light edge wear, slight creases, pinholes, and very minor tears. There are some unobtrusive smudges and foxing, as well as a scratch in the image.
