Juanita Hansen plays a girl who inherited more than she can handle in this series of thrilling shorts, where her ruthless uncle (played by Charles Hill Mailes) will stop at nothing until he gets his greedy hands on her gold. Like many films of the day, this serial suffered at the hands of city and state censorship boards across the country, especially this chapter. The Chicago Board of Censors made numerous cuts to the two-reel episode, entirely omitting several scenes and characters for racy, violent, or offensive material.
