Description
Welcome Danger (Paramount, 1930). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Eric Rohman Artwork. One of the top comedians of the silent era, Harold Lloyd made his transition to sound cinema with Welcome Danger, released in both silent and sound versions to accommodate theaters still unequipped for talkies. Produced by Lloyd himself, the film became one of his highest-grossing pictures to date, debuting just weeks before the stock market crash. In this comedic crime tale, Lloyd plays a mild-mannered botanist who unexpectedly assumes his father's role as chief of police, performing his trademark death-defying stunts while dismantling a Chinatown drug ring and winning the heart of ingénue Barbara Kent. This is only the second time Heritage has ever had the privilege of offering this style of Swedish one sheet for the film, and its signs of age include light edge and fold wear, minor creases, unobtrusive smudges, small fold separation, a few subtle stains, and some border tears, the longest of which reaches approximately 6" in length. Additionally, there are strips of archival tape on the verso bracing the aforementioned tears. Although previously folded, this poster will be shipped rolled.
