Although Jed Cooper (Clint Eastwood) is innocent, he is accused of cattle rustling by a group of nine men, and lynched. Left for dead, Cooper survives and, after an appointment as deputy marshal, sets out to track down the men who "killed" him. This film followed Eastwood's highly acclaimed "Dollars" trilogy, and was, indeed, intended for director Sergio Leone. Already committed to another project, however, Leone was forced to decline, leaving the film in the hands of director Ted Post. A first time offer from Heritage, the poster shows only light edge wear.
