Description

The Searchers (Warner Bros., 1956). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41.5").
John Wayne delivers what is perhaps his most powerful performance in this John Ford production, often found at the top of any list ranking history's best Westerns. Obsession, racism, and revenge are driving themes that draw the audience in deeper throughout the film, aided by the skilled portrayals of the rest of the cast and the gorgeous cinematography capturing Monument Valley. Many of the Ford ensemble make appearances in the film, including Ward Bond, Harry Carey Jr., Jeffrey Hunter, Vera Miles, and a young Natalie Wood, who would play the niece kidnapped by the Comanche, Scar. This poster looks great after being professionally restored to correct slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, tears, and small chips. There is reattached paper loss in the upper left corner and parts of the borders have been airbrushed.
