This festive poster marks the first British quad for White Christmas we at Heritage have ever had the opportunity to offer. In 1953, Fred Astaire decided to "retire" from films, leaving a hole in the cast of the upcoming picture. The part was then re-written for Donald O'Connor, but he also had to drop out of the project. Finally, in a move that saved the picture, Danny Kaye was selected as a zero-hour replacement. Kaye and co-star Bing Crosby are featured on this festive insert, along with costars Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen. Backed on linen, there has been professional restoration to fold wear and separation, pinholes, small chips and tears, and a tear from the right border into Danny Kaye's hand. The poster's borders have been mostly airbrushed.
