The Great Radium Mystery (Universal, 1919). Fine- on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 80.25").
An 18 chapter serial released in 1919 by Universal Pictures, The Great Radium Mystery is a lost film, with no known surviving prints. Like many serials of the era, it featured a suspenseful, chapter-by-chapter storyline full of danger, cliffhangers, and daring escapes. Backed to linen, restoration has addressed wear, splits and chips along the folds, enlarged pinholes to the corners, as well a number of small holes throughout the upper section. There were holes and chips in border areas, and the letters in the billing block have been touchedup. Three of the borders had an approximately 1-inch trim, and all of the borders have been airbrushed. Thanks to these efforts, the poster displays nicely.
