City Lights (United Artists, 1931). Folded, Very Fine+. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5").
Considered to be one of the best Chaplin films of all time, City Lights is perhaps a masterpiece and master class in the upending of expectations. The film famously stars Charlie Chaplin as the tramp who falls in love with a flower girl (Virginia Cherrill) who mistakes him for a wealthy man. With great success, the film ultimately defied the notion that only talkies could bring in an audience during a period of transition to sound for the industry. This special Swedish one sheet has only been offered once before at Heritage and is in outstanding condition. The poster has very light edge and fold wear and a few small creases.
