Charles Loupot is remembered as one of France's most influential poster artists, especially for his work during the interwar years. One such design is this elegant illustration made for the Swiss fur company Fourrurers Canton, printed originally in 1924 and later reprinted twice in the 1940s and 1960s. This poster comes from the 1949 run of prints, denoted by the updated company address at the bottom and the change of the background from the original black to a more noticeable blue, and was made with the original stone litho plates from Loupot's 1924 design. With no touchup applied or needed, this linen-backed poster looks beautiful and shows no defects whatsoever.
