Fredric March gives an Academy Award-winning performance in his incredible dual role for this classic horror film. Directed by Rouben Mamoulian, this film also features Miriam Hopkins as the prostitute Hyde lusts after and Rose Hobart as Jekyll's more refined love interest. The transformation special effects (from Jekyll to Hyde) were major feats for the day and still astound modern audiences. Long thought a "lost" film, with MGM buying up the rights to remake the story in 1941, the movie finally resurfaced decades later. The classic Art Deco graphics on this beautiful insert are extraordinary to behold and were only featured on this format. Corrections have been applied to small chips at the edges, a few tears into the interior, and pinholes. Also addressed were some surface scuffs in the black background and a couple of creases, including a diagonal crease through March's suit and shirt.
