Presented in this lot are seven deluxe color-glos stills from the landmark animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. A groundbreaking success, the film not only rescued the Walt Disney studio financially but also established the foundation of its animation empire. Considered premium promotional items, a full set of these stills cost $2.00 in 1937-far more than the $0.15 price of a one sheet or $0.45 for a three sheet. Rarely offered, these seven stills show expected signs of age including corner bends and chips, pinholes, some creases, smudges/scuffs, slight stains including adhesive stains, and color fading. Additionally, there is some adhesive residue on the verso of the stills that shows through to the recto.
