The Ugly Duckling (RKO, 1939). Very Fine- on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
As the last of Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies shorts, this is a remake of a 1931 black and white adaptation from the Hans Christian Anderson tale. One of seven Silly Symphonies to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, The Ugly Duckling won its Oscar in 1940. Other notable shorts from the series include Three Little Pigs, The Tortoise and the Hare, The Old Mill, The Wise Little Hen, in which Donald Duck makes his debut, and Just Dogs, which marks Pluto's first solo appearance without Mickey Mouse. Light touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes in the corners, and some creases. There were a few small tears, and the poster had a couple of extra vertical folds. Still visible is some faint writing bleedthrough. Very Fine- on Linen.
