Description
Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Folded, Very Fine. Danish Poster (24" X 33.5").In one of the greatest science fiction films ever made, a rescue mission to Altair-IV encounters more than they bargained for as a mysterious and invisible alien has been killing off the colonists of the planet. Dr. Morbius (Walter Pidgeon) and his daughter Altaira (Anne Francis) are the lone survivors. Leslie Nielsen, Warren Stevens, Jack Kelly, Richard Anderson and Earl Holliman comprise the rescuers warned to stay away. Directed by Fred M. Wilcox. This poster, a first-time offer from Heritage Auctions, has some minor tears and fold separation at the edges and a film censor stamp in the upper right of the background. Overall the colors are bright and the poster features the iconic image of Robby the Robot and the United Planets Cruiser C57D landing on Altair-IV.
