The Widow from Chicago (First National, 1930). Folded, Fine-. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
This taught pre-code crime drama features Edward G. Robinson in one of his earliest gangster roles, prior to his breakout in Little Caesar (1931). Robinson plays a mob boss who's nightclub is infiltrated by Alice White, posing as the eponymous widow, in this tale of double crosses and gangster shootouts. He appears on the poster in the newspaper read by the central subject of this impossibly rare Style B one sheet. Heritage has never offered anything bigger than a lobby card on the film, so this is an important opportunity to add to any Robinson, pre-code or Warner Bros. crime collection. Folded as issued, the poster has a chip and some paper thinning in the top blank border, border tears, fold separations, spot paper loss along the folds, and light water staining in the bottom border. The poster image is vibrant and largely unaffected.
