Across the Footlights (Universal, 1915). Very Good/Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.5" X 41.5").
In an example of art imitating life, Across the Footlights tells the story of young actors in search of stardom. In the burgeoning industry of film, many people would come in hopes of making a big name for themselves, just as they did for the stage. The film was directed by Burton L. King, best remembered for helming two of Harry Houdini's films: The Master Mystery (1920), the magician's only serial, and The Man from Beyond (1922). This striking stone litho poster, with great art of a woman at a family dinner over an image of her on stage receiving bouquets for her performance returns to Heritage once again, displaying some fold wear, crossfold separation, tears and scuffs in the title area, and a small tear in the upper center crossfold.
