Description

Sunnyside (First National, 1919). Fine+. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
In Sunnyside, Charlie Chaplin once again portrayed the Tramp, this time he's in love with the daughter of a neighboring farmer. Charlie gets kicked off of a cow while riding into town and has a dream. Charlie Chaplin is one of the screen's most iconic figures whose comedies have withstood the test of time and modern film-making technologies. Two of the cards in the set depict the dream sequence and present a rare fantasy moment for Chaplin. The cards show moderate toning, smudges, and strips of paper tape on the verso. The title card show some surface scoring. From the Wood Hall Collection.
