Description

Clive of India (Warner Bros., 1935). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 40"). Glenn Cravath Artwork. From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
Loosely based on the life of Robert Clive, and drawn from the book, "Clive" by R.J. Minney, the film explores the life of the British clerk played by Ronald Colman. Co-starring Loretta Young as Colman's wife, this is a first time offer from Heritage and a beautiful example of the Fox stone lithos of the period. The poster has been professionally restored to replace the trimmed lower border and still has some staining in the borders and fold wear but is otherwise a stunning copy, with magnificently saturated colors.
