The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (Paramount, 1935). Very Fine on Linen. Italian 2 - Fogli (39.5" X 55").
Set in British colonial India, the story follows three British officers in the famed Bengal Lancers regiment as they face internal conflicts and an external threat from a rebellious native leader named Mohammed Khan. As the young and inexperienced Lieutenant Donald Stone struggles with his distant, authoritative father (a commanding officer), the trio must unite to confront betrayal and danger on the frontier. Directed by Henry Hathaway and starring Gary Cooper, Franchot Tone, and Richard Cromwell. Backed to linen, there has been minimal touch-up to small portions of the folds to address wear, splits and small or minute chips to some fold junctions. There is some unobtrusive toning to the paper. Thanks to these efforts, the poster presents very well. A first time offering at Heritage.
