Mutiny on the Bounty (MGM, 1935). Insert (14" X 36").
Adapted from the first two volumes of the Charles Nordhoff-James Norman Hall 1932 best seller, The Bounty Trilogy, MGM's grand spectacle would be nominated for eight Academy Awards and win Best Picture. Starring Charles Laughton and Clark Gable, this classic is the one which all nautical movies are measured against. Offered in this lot is a very rare, rolled insert to the original release of the film. It has had some replacement of paper in the bottom border just barely extending into the credit bubble. There is a chip in the upper right corner and minor edge tears which have been repaired on the verso with white linen tape. This is a very presentable poster from one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's greatest! Rolled, Very Good/Fine.
