Description

The Gold Rush (United Artists, 1925). Window Card (13.5" X 22").
One of Charlie Chaplin's greatest and most charming films, The Gold Rush features Chaplin's iconic character, the ever optimistic Little Tramp, who heads to Alaska with dreams of striking gold and becoming rich. His adventure finds him crossing paths with other prospectors, a fugitive, and a gorgeous saloon maid (Georgia Hale) with whom he falls in love. A personal favorite of Chaplin's, the quintessential comedy brilliantly balances slapstick comedy, social satire, and tender and emotional dramatic elements. This beautiful stone litho window card showcases a truly magnificent image of the Little Tramp making his claim atop a frigid mound of snow. Heritage is proud to offer this magnificent poster from one of the greatest comedies of all time. The blank imprint area has been replaced just into the background image above Chaplin's head, and the window card has been professionally restored to address small border tears, and a tear from the left border into the "C" of Charlie. Fine+.
