The Adventures of Mark Twain (Warner Brothers, 1944). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Fredric March stars as Samuel Langhorne Clemens (and shows us how he thought of his pen name, Mark Twain) with Alexis Smith as his wife, Olivia. The story begins with his birth as Halley's Comet is passing over and leads to Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer beckoning him to heaven as the comet comes around again 75 years later. Along the way, we see events from his life including working on a riverboat, holding a jumping frog contest and meeting Olivia. This one sheet has wear and separation in the fold lines and crossfolds, multiple pinholes in the corners and a couple of small stains in the image area. Otherwise, though, the poster looks as remarkably clean as it is patriotic. Very Fine-.
