Divine: Vice Palace (ca. 1972). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. Event Poster (21.5" X 27.25").
Presented here is a historic poster promoting legendary drag queen Divine's performance of Vice Palace. Performing alongside Divine were the esteemed Goldie Glitters and Pristine Condition, both of whom hailed from the illustrious theatre group, the Cockettes, which dissolved in 1972, making Vice Palace their last musical. This early showcase not only highlighted the talent and diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community but also marked a pivotal moment in the cultural landscape, challenging norms and fostering greater acceptance and appreciation for gender fluidity and drag artistry.
