Rope (MGM, R-1963). French Grande (47" X 63").
A scarce poster from director Alfred Hitchcock's "experiment" in filmmaking. The picture, shot in what appears to be one continuous take, proves the value of a good editor. Jimmy Stewart and John Dall play roles originally meant for Cary Grant and Montgomery Clift. Boris Grinsson designed this French Grande, filling it with lurid colors and an excellent likeness of Stewart. The poster shows crossfold separations and edge wear. Folded, Very Fine-.
