Gun Fury (Columbia, 1953). Very Fine. Original Mixed Media Poster Concept Art (13.25" X 18.5").
Ben Warren (Rock Hudson), a Civil War veteran who has renounced violence, is traveling west with his fiancée Jennifer Ballard (Donna Reed) when their stagecoach is ambushed by a gang of outlaws led by Frank Slayton (Philip Carey). Ben is left for dead, and Jennifer is kidnapped. Determined to rescue her, Ben teams up with another victim of Slayton's cruelty and pursues the gang across the rugged terrain of the Arizona Territory. Will he find her, and will he seek revenge? Featuring an outstanding image of Hudson with a Winchester, this poster concept is a fantastic example of 1950s era western art. Executed on board in mixed media, there is some light scuffing, a bent corner and light edge wear. The piece is unsigned and measures 13.25" X 18.5".
