Fred C. Dobbs (Humphrey Bogart) and Bob Curtin (Tim Holt), play two unemployed drifters in 1920s Mexico, where they meet an eccentric old prospector named Howard (Walter Huston), who convinces them to search for gold in the remote Sierra Madre mountains. With limited supplies and hard-earned trust, they locate a rich vein and begin extracting gold dust, but as the gold accumulates, so does mistrust. Dobbs, increasingly consumed by greed and paranoia, suspects his partners of plotting against him. Dobbs's descent into madness accelerates, culminating in treachery and violence. Alfonso Bedoya, who plays a Mexican bandit speaks one of the most famous quotes, "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"A classic of 1940s cinema, this card is beautiful and sure to please.
