A gripping sequel to The Quatermass Xperiment, Quatermass II (released in the United States as Enemy from Space) is a thrilling and faithful adaptation of Nigel Kneale's acclaimed BBC television serial. Brian Donlevy returns as the resolute Professor Quatermass, whose scientific acumen is tested by a mysterious "meteor shower" that marks the onset of a secret alien invasion. These extraterrestrial beings arrive in meteor-like vessels, insidiously taking control of human minds and nervous systems to carry out their plans undetected. The film is further elevated by strong performances from its supporting cast, including notable British actors Sidney James, John Longden, and Bryan Forbes. Airbrushing to the borders and white background as well as touchup to the interior folds has corrected edge and fold wear, creases, tears, a few stains, and some primarily moderate chips further addressed by replacement. It now presents beautifully.
