The African Queen (Independant Film Distribution, 1952). Very Fine+ on Linen. British One Sheet (26.5" X 39").
Humphrey Bogart would win his only Oscar for his role as Charlie Allnut in this U.K./U.S. co-production famously adapted from the novel by C.S. Forester. Unlike the British re-issue one sheet, this extremely scarce and original country of origin poster is adorned with bold portraits of Bogart and Katharine Hepburn featuring graphics rich in color and saturation. The poster is nearly flawless as it has been backed on linen and had only minimal edge and fold wear before linen backing. Although the poster has been backed on linen, no further restoration has been applied or needed. This is a rare find for a poster such as this in this condition.
