Description

The Legend of Coyote Rock (RKO, 1945). Folded, Very Fine-. One Sheet (27" X 41").
In this film, Pluto plays a dedicated sheepdog tasked with protecting a herd of sheep grazing near a prominent rock formation. However, trouble is brewing in the form of a cunning coyote who is lean, fast, and full of tricks. The coyote stalks the flock, trying repeatedly to outwit Pluto and snatch a sheep for his dinner. What follows is a classic cat-and-mouse game (or rather, dog-and-coyote), with Pluto chasing the intruder across desert terrain, steep cliffs, and rocky outcrops. There are sets of staple holes in the corners and borders, a small split at the top fold junction, a minute split at the center and a 1.5-inch split at the bottom fold junction. A small hole in the 'G' of legend, a small circular tear and a 1-inch tear lower in the right border. Additionally, the title is written in grease pencil on the verso of the third right panel as well as some smudging, but it is not visible to the recto.
